Have you ever had prayers answered in ways other than what you were expecting? All the time, right? It is a lifelong desire for God to line my will up with His. In the Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 13, Jesus states: “And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.” These words bring me great comfort because I know that whatever I ask for, if it’s in line with the Father’s will (1 John 5:14–15), then it will be done. If it’s not, then it wasn’t the Father’s will, and who can argue with that, right? Well, the journey of getting Daisy was an opportunity for my family and me to exercise such trust.
